Perfect climate for top-quality leek plants
As the only Dutch cultivation company, Baltussen has had its own nursery in Morocco since 2003, located in the horticultural area south of Agadir. Thanks to the ideal climatic conditions, we grow strong, top-quality field-grown plants here. While the cultivation of a leek plant usually takes 12 weeks, we can deliver leek plants that are ready in just 10 to 12 weeks due to this perfect climate.
Hand harvested, perfectly delivered
All leek plants are harvested by hand and carefully sorted. They are then transported in cooled conditions to the Netherlands, where they are distributed from Asten to customers across Europe.
